Guided Tour to Drottningholm — The Swedish Royal Residence
Welcome to the home of His Majesty, the King of Sweden! On this tour, we invite you to visit the official residence of our royal couple, King Carl XVI Gustaf and our "Cinderella," Queen Silvia.
Why Choose a Guided Tour to Drottningholm?
The Drottningholm Palace complex is an active royal residence and the childhood home of Sweden’s future queen, Crown Princess Victoria. The entire estate is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site!
What Awaits You on the Drottningholm Royal Palace Tour
If you want to experience more than just central Stockholm and see a true gem of Swedish architecture framed by Scandinavian nature, let's head to Drottningholm!
While kings ruled the stage in Stockholm, queens ran the show at Drottningholm. We will share fascinating facts, insider gossip, and even a few secret stories — like just how much taxpayer money our King spent on renovations!
Surrounded by trophy sculptures, we will step back in time and imagine the grand balls hosted centuries ago by our "North Star" King. We will show you the astonishing birthday gift one monarch created for his wife, and you won't believe the incredible story of how an entire 18th-century theatre was rediscovered — one that is now studied at the PhD level at Stockholm University!
Where Does the Tour Begin?
We start our tour right at the gates of the Drottningholm Palace complex. Alternatively, if you prefer, we can meet in central Stockholm, and we can organize a private transfer to the palace for you.
Send me a message, and I will help you plan every detail!
What Will We See During the Tour?
During our 2-hour visit, we will explore the magnificent historical apartments of the Swedish monarchs and stroll through the royal palace gardens. During the summer months, we can also visit the charming Chinese Pavilion!
We can also arrange different activities if it is a MICE group depending on your interests.
Special Bonus for Private Tour Guests
In addition to the guided tour, everyone who books a private experience with us receives a personalized itinerary tailored to your specific interests. I will share recommendations for other must-see spots, point out great local cafes for lunch or fika, and answer any questions you have about your stay.
Feel free to reach out with any questions about the Drottningholm tour — we'd be delighted to help!
